Carbonnel has established itself as one of the most relevant companies in the sector thanks to a history built on effort, vision, and a deep love for the art of perfumery. Founded in 1925 by Maurice Carbonnel, a young man of French origin who arrived in Spain at the age of 18, the company began as Destilerías Mauricio Carbonnel S.A., dedicated to the distillation of Spanish aromatic plants.
Over the course of these 100 years, three generations have contributed to building a legacy based on tradition, technical excellence, and an innovative vision of perfume. This heritage is reflected not only in the quality of its creations, but also in its ability to adapt to market changes and to demanding international regulations.
After the death of its founder, the second generation took over the company and successfully adapted to changes in the market, transforming the company into Carbonnel S.A. and directing its activity toward the creation of compositions for perfumery.
With the arrival of the third generation, led by Christian Carbonnel (Chris Maurice), the company has taken a qualitative leap toward artistic and niche perfumery. During this new stage, C de La Niche, the house’s creative atelier, was also founded. It was conceived as a space dedicated to author perfumery, where more exclusive compositions are developed.
Carbonnel stands out for its specialization in oriental and author perfumery, for the creation of bespoke fragrances, and for its international presence in more than 70 countries. The company controls the entire process, from the sourcing of raw materials to the final formulation, committing to innovation, sustainability, and creativity as its fundamental pillars.
